The 2024  Kakamega Forest Marathon will take place on Saturday 30 November. The Marathon follows a breathtaking route through the heart of Kakamega Forest. The forest is considered to be the easternmost outlier of the Guinea-Congolian forest that is spread across Angola, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania and Zambia. Runners will share the route with a remarkable diversity of butterflies, endemic plants, birds and insects not found elsewhere in the country.
